Booking Conditions | Spectre Charters

Safety:
- In booking this holiday you accept that sailing holidays contain an element of risk and participation in this activity is your decision.

Insurance:
- We recommend that everybody has travel insurance and that you also bring your European Health Insurance Card (E111).

Payment:
- A deposit of 20% of total cost required upon booking. The balance of the payment for the holiday is due ten weeks before departure.

Cancellation:
- If you cancel, you must notify us immediately in writing. The following charges will apply from the date we receive your notification:

Time before departure Charges
More than 8 weeks Charter deposit
Between 4 and 8 weeks 50% of charter price
Between 2 and 4 weeks 80% of charter price
Less than 2 weeks 100% of charter price

Prior to departure:
- The skipper will be instructed in the operating and maintenance of the yacht and will be responsible to adhering to these procedures.
- Will inspect the yacht for any damage and check the inventory and the supplied list.

During the charter:
- Will inform Spectre Charters of any damage or breakages to the yacht, or its equipment by telephone.
- Will not accept outside assistance of a tow, without consulting Spectre Charters.

End of Charter:
The yacht is to be returned to the agreed port on the last night of the charter and vacated by 0900 on the final day, in a tidy condition.

Availability:
In the event that the yacht is unavoidably unavailable for your charter we reserve the right to replace it with a similar vessel or refund the monies paid in full.
