Bare Boat or Skippered Charter - Prices

We offer bare boat charter to sailors who are sufficiently experienced. You don’t have to worry about tides in the Ionian, but you do need to be competent in handling a large yacht. The charterer and his crew should include not less than one qualified skipper and one experienced crew member to comply with the Greek authorities’ requirements.

If you are unsure about your abilities, or if you are a complete novice, no matter. We can provide a skipper who will introduce you to the world of sailing and encourage you to increase your skills. All you need is enthusiasm and a sense of humour.

All prices are in Euro's per week. However the charter may be paid for in sterling.

Skipper: €150 per day Hostess: €130 per day

Spinnaker: 36 to 41 feet: €150 per week, 44 to 49 feet: €200 per week

Security deposit: Payable on arrival with VISA- or Master-Card

The exchange rate will be calculated at 2% below the commercial rate at the time of booking.

Included in the price, is a full tank of fuel, the dinghy and the outboard engine.
Please note that you must finish with a full tank of fuel.
Food and drink costs are not included in these prices.

Booking Conditions

In booking with Spectre Charters you accept that with sailing holidays there is an element of risk.

Proficiency

You are asked to declare your sailing experience and qualifications (or those of the person who will be skippering the yacht). In the event that the charterer fails to demonstrate adequate experience or ability, WPS-Yachting reserves the right to cancel the charter or insist that a professional skipper be employed. Under such circumstances no refund will be given and the charterer will be required to pay for the services of a skipper at €150 per day.

Bare Boat Charters

All charterers are required to lodge a security deposit as set out in the price list, to cover the insurance excess. You are requested to examine the yacht closely at the beginning of the charter and note any existing damage or shortages in the inventory. Any losses or damage incurred by the charterer will be deducted from the deposit. The deposit will be refunded at the end of the charter upon satisfactory inspection of the yacht and its inventory.

Insurance

Everyone on board should have travel insurance and carry a European Health Insurance Card. Health facilities, especially on the islands, can be minimal, so travel insurance is essential for covering emergency transport to major medical centre. Please make sure that your cover includes sailing offshore.

Cancellation

whatever reason, please notify us in writing as soon as possible. See www.spectrecharters.com for details of cancellation charges. If you wish to change the date of your holiday we will do our best to accommodate you without imposing further charges. However, if an alternative charter is not available, charges will be incurred.

Payment

A deposit of 30 % of the total holiday price is due upon booking. The balance of payment for the yacht(s) is due ten weeks before departure. The cost of the holiday does not include flights or transfers which you must arrange independently.
